Tools that turn support tickets into bug reports
Six options, from the free app your help desk already offers to tools that find the code and draft the fix. Start with the cheapest one that removes your actual bottleneck.
The short answer
If you only need tickets to become issues, start free: the Zendesk app for Jira, Linear's Zendesk and Intercom integration, or a Zapier template. Git-Zen adds cheap two-way sync with GitHub, GitLab and Azure DevOps. Linear Agent adds AI summaries and deduplication if you are on Linear Business. Watari is for teams where the expensive part is the engineering after the issue exists: locating the bug in the code and fixing it.
At a glance

| Zapier templates | Custom routing between any tools | No | No | Per task |
| Git-Zen | Two-way Zendesk sync with code hosts | No | No | Per Zendesk agent |
| Sentry Seer | Errors Sentry captured, not tickets | Yes | Yes | Per active contributor |
| Watari | Customer-reported bugs, ticket to draft PR | Yes | Yes | Per bug mapped to code |
Start with the free options
Zendesk Support for Jira is free and published by Zendesk: agents create or link Jira issues from the ticket sidebar and see Jira status in Zendesk. Linear's integration does the same for Linear and Zendesk or Intercom, and can reopen the ticket when the issue closes. Zapier has ready-made templates for routing bug reports from Zendesk or Freshdesk into Jira, including an AI step to classify severity. If your bottleneck is simply that bugs get lost between tools, one of these fixes it at little or no cost.
Sync and AI triage
Git-Zen syncs Zendesk tickets two ways with GitHub, GitLab, Azure DevOps, Linear and Jira, including comments and pull request events, at a low per-agent price. Linear Agent, on Linear's Business plan, reads the conversation and attachments, writes a summarised issue and merges duplicates. Both make the issue better; neither looks at your code.
Tools that go into the code
Sentry Seer analyses issues Sentry captured, finds a root cause and can open a pull request. It is excellent when the bug threw an error; it has nothing to work from when a customer reports something that did not.
Watari starts from the support ticket. It writes a structured bug, reads screenshots, recordings and logs, groups duplicate reports, ranks the files and functions in your GitHub or Azure DevOps repository most likely involved, drafts a pull request, files the issue in Jira, Linear, GitHub Issues or Azure Boards, and updates the customer once the fix is live. It costs more than everything above, so it pays off only when engineering time spent reproducing and locating customer-reported bugs is a real cost for you.
How to choose
Ask where the time actually goes. If bugs are lost between support and engineering, use a free integration. If issues arrive but are messy and duplicated, add AI triage. If issues are clean but engineers still spend hours finding the code, that is the step Watari takes on.
Which to choose
Free or near-free is enough if
- Bugs mostly get lost between tools rather than stuck in engineering.
- You file a few customer-reported bugs a month.
- Engineers find the relevant code quickly.
A code-aware tool pays off if
- Reproducing and locating bugs eats senior engineering time.
- The same bug arrives as many tickets.
- Customers wait long after a fix ships to hear about it.
Frequently asked questions
What is the cheapest way to send Zendesk bugs to Jira?
The free Zendesk Support for Jira app, published by Zendesk. It creates and links Jira issues from tickets and shows Jira status inside Zendesk.
Is there a tool that maps a customer bug report to the code?
Watari does this for tickets from Zendesk, Intercom and Freshdesk, against GitHub or Azure DevOps repositories. Sentry Seer does something similar, but only for issues Sentry captured, not for support tickets.
Can I combine these tools?
Yes. A common setup is a free integration for linking tickets by hand, Sentry Seer for exceptions, and Watari for customer-reported bugs that need the code located and a fix drafted.

Your next support ticket arrives as a draft PR.
Connect Zendesk, Intercom, or Freshdesk, then GitHub or Azure DevOps. Tickets land mapped to the file, function, and line, ready for your reviewer to take over.
